Mr. G S Sethi

Mr. G S Sethi is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (now Thapar University) Patiala and a Post Graduate from ESSA Paris (France). He started his career in Mining & Allied Machinery Corporation, Durgapur. Mr.GS Sethi joined DGE&T in France and occupied several positions during his tenure of more than three decades. He retired in 2001 as the Deputy Director General from DGE&T. During his five decades of experience, he handled several significant assignments such as implementation of country-wide World Bank assisted Vocational Training Project. He was a guest faculty at German Foundation for International Development, Mannheim, Germany. Since 2001, he took to management consultancy and has carried out assignments for GIZ (in India and in Vietnam), Government of Haryana and Chandigarh, TERI-SIDBI and ILO. In 2008, he was retained by Career Launcher as TVET Consultant and as Editor of monthly magazine SKILLS AHEAD where he worked for over four years. Presently, he is a TVET consultant to IndiaCan (a unit of Pearson).
