About the Project

EKSWAR: Ek Kadam Swacchhata Ki Raah Project is being implemented by IGSSS focused on capacity building and community awareness driven program for clean Nagar Palika-Panchayat in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh.

Post : PROJECT MANAGER

Nature : Field as well as Deskwork

About the post:

The Project Manager will be leading a team of people designated specifically for the project playing a crucial role of mentor, supervisor, and quality control of the Project. The person will be over all responsible for the project.

Key Role:

To ensure the overall strategizing, execution, networking, reporting and coordination to deliver high quality project in 8 Wards of Hardoi.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Strategizing the project deliverables and process for greater impact. 
  • Ensures quality and timely execution of the project activities and achievement of the project objectives.
  • Coordinate the direct interventions, engagement, and networking at the Nagar Palika-Panchayat Level
  • Mentoring, Guiding and capacitating IGSSS team at the project level and that of the Nagar Palika-Panchayat on issue of Solid Waste Management
  • Lead the development of IEC materials, Behavior Change Communication materials, modules, publications and training materials for implementation of project interventions.
  • Develop possible linkages with other potential technical resource agencies/groups/individuals to complement the interventions and expand the benefits to the target area.
  • Ensuring quality training and practices in all implementation areas and documentation of the activities
  • Supervise the program actions and finance at the project level in all matters of project implementation and management.
  • Build innovative models in Solid Waste Management
  • Ensure proper documentation, feeding of information in MIS and project reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post Graduate degree in the relevant field of Rural Development, Solid Waste Management, Water and Sanitation, development studies, or social work.
  • Have a good understanding of Sanitation and Solid Waste Management and strong background of working with Nagar Palikas-Panchayats / Government system.
  • At least 5 (five) years of prior professional experience in a similar post.
  • Should have prior experience in executing projects, designing capacity building actions, training modules and planning activities.
  • Proven experience in jointly working and forming community-based monitoring system, its capacitation. 

Core Competencies:

  • Excellent communication, team building and training skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in and outside the organization.
  • A solid understanding of the participatory processes, integrated programming, community monitoring and gender issues, Solid Waste Management
  • Leadership qualities, personnel and team management including mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability in report writing and presentation.
  • Languages: English and Hindi mandatory (spoken and written).
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of integrity, coordination, and transparency.
  • Open for frequent traveling to the field and hands-on work with IGSSS staff on the ground, field staff and communities.
  • Technology Savvy and having good functional knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other basic computer literacy.

Remuneration / Package / Benefits: 

Maximum limit Rs. 50,000/- per month CTO based on experience and overall fit including PF as per law. In addition – range of benefits including medical insurance, personal accident insurance, and opportunities for further personal development.

Post : IMPACT OFFICER

About the post:

The Impact Officer will be developing and executing evidence-based impact management system. The person will be responsible for day-to-day data and information management.

Key Role:

To ensure impact management, by establishing baseline, monitoring, data management, documentation and reporting. The Impact Officer plays a critical role within the project by improving and strengthening online and offline information systems to enhance project impact. 

Key Performance Areas:

  • Work closely with the project teams in identifying indicators, refining LFAs, formats and tools to establish MIS for an evidence-based monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Create Visuals in forms of pictures and videos capturing the progress and impacts.
  • Support in developing Participatory processes and tools along with IEC and Behavior Change Communication Materials
  • Support/Coordinate with the different stakeholders, project staff in data collection, management, and analysis.
  • Ensure quality of data collected by staff through field visits and validation.
  • Provide feedback to program teams on projects’ performance by periodically analyzing data. 
  • Prepare and present good quality reports as per the organizational / project requirement. 
  • Ensure that all the baseline, end lines, studies, research reports are presented in a form that is user friendly and marketable.
  • Support the teams in consolidating evidence for establishing project impact.
  • Establish mechanism to store and retrieve knowledge generated from projects.
  • Support in promoting culture of two way learning in the organization and ensure that all information generated from the community reaches the community.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Post Graduate degree in the relevant field of Rural Development, Solid Waste Management, Water and Sanitation, development studies, or social work.
  • Additional qualification of Mass Communication, statistical analysis tools, will be an added advantage
  • Have a good understanding of Sanitation and Solid Waste Management and strong background of working with Nagar Palikas-Panchayats / Government system.
  • At least 3 (three) years of prior professional experience in a similar post.
  • Should have prior experience in Monitoring, Data Management and Documentation (including video)

Post : SUPERVISOR

Nature : Primarily Field with some extent of Deskwork

About the post:

The Supervisor will be facilitating and supervising activities at the community level and managing a field team of 8 people each. The person will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Solid Waste activity execution of the project.

Key Role:

To ensure implementation, supervision and reporting of the Project activities.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Ensures quality and timely implementation of the project activities and achievement of the project objectives.
  • Guiding and supervising IGSSS field staff at the project level and that of the Nagar Palika-Panchayat on issue of Solid Waste Management
  • Supervise the program actions and finance at the project level (At the ward level) in all matters of project implementation.
  • Ensure proper documentation, feeding of information in MIS and project reporting.
  • To ensure monitoring the usage of e-garbage loaders in their ward.
  • Ensuring their ward is clean with support from field staff and Nagar Palika/Panchayat staff.
  • Regular and timely updates of the progress to the Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in any field. Specialization and experience in the field of Rural Development, Solid Waste Management, Water and Sanitation, development studies, or social work will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 (two) years of prior professional experience in a supervisory position
  • Should have prior experience in managing a field team and planning activities.
  • Proven experience in jointly working and forming community-based monitoring system, its capacitation. 
  • Languages: Hindi is mandatory (spoken and written). English will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of integrity, coordination, and transparency.
  • Open for continuous traveling in the field and hands-on work with IGSSS staff at the ground, field staff of Nagar Palika-Panchayat and communities.
  • Having fair understanding and functional computer literacy and digital reporting
  • Committed to IGSSS vision, mission, and code of conduct.
