Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is a non-profit organization working with the mandate for a humane social order based on truth, justice, freedom and equity. Established in 1960, IGSSS works for development, capacity building and enlightenment of vulnerable communities across the country for their effective participation in development.

IGSSS implements and supports quality development programs in 21 States and 1 Union Territory in India to empower individuals and communities. Through its programs on Sustainable Livelihood, Disaster Risk Reduction, Gender Equality, Urban Poverty Reduction and Youth Development, IGSSS has reached out to more than 2 Lakh families every year. The programs at IGSSS are targeted towards the poor, marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society with special emphasis on women and children.

  • Position: Field Coordinator – position 4 (Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Maharashtra)
  • Tenure: Short term Consultancy – 1.5 months to 2 months (expected to join immediately)
  • The person will be over all responsible for coordinating and establishing solar lights in a specified state as per the plan mentioned below, by 15th March 2023.

Specific Responsibility:

  1. Coordinate and procure documentation from Government departments (NOC, handing over certificate) as required for establishment of the solar lights in the state as per the plan. 
  2. Coordinate with vendor for the delivery and establishment of solar lights
  3. Assist and orient the team establishment and commissioning of assets.
  4. Close accompaniment and monitoring of project vendor in operationalizing action plan. 
  5. Liaisoning and interfacing with the department at the district and state level.
  6. Maintaining documentation (visual and written) as mandated.

 

Requirement:

 Graduate degree in any field. Specialization, Education in development studies, or social work will be an added advantage.

  • Prior Experience in the field of Urban or Rural Development
  • Located in one of the districts as mentioned in the above table for the applied state.
  • Open to extensive travel.
  • Have good networking skills with Government Agencies. 
  • Have good reporting and documentation skills.
  • Have good vendor management skills.
  • Candidates from Native states or language will be preferred.
  • Working knowledge for reporting (written and verbal in English)
  • Having fair understanding and functional computer literacy and digital reporting
  • Immediate Joining required.

Remuneration / Package / Benefits: 

Maximum limit Rs. 35,000/- per month, 9TDS deduction as applicable, Travel cost will be additional.
