With over thirteen years of experience, Proshin is a result-oriented community development practitioner addressing climate change crises in vulnerable communities. He believes in the demystification of climate change science to the niche community, strengthening them to identify climate change risks and coping mechanisms or resiliency for encountering climate crisis. He is the key person in conceptualizing and undertaking the green governance plan of the organization, developing positive ownership through contributing and/ or incentivizing climate and environment, and conservation of resources through reduce-reuse-recycle strategies. The climate change matrix tool, participatory vulnerability mapping & priority planning tool and gender watch tool reveal outstanding community engagement with the projects, which is his creation only. He is the innovator of the Urban Disaster Risk Reduction model, incubated in 13 project cities. Urban Farming became a popular model in the bastis/ settlements under his leadership. He is the pioneer for the inclusion of the transgender community in IGSSS urban programs. He passed Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Management from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management (IISWBM) and a Master of Science in Botany & Forestry from Vidyasagar University with environmental botany specialization
