New Delhi: The consultation was jointly organised by National Confederation of Dalit-Adivasi Organisations (NACDOR) and IGSSS at India International Centre, New Delhi on 13th July 2016.


Emphasis was on examining each Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and its related targets from the point of view of the poor, marginalised and socially excluded communities and to develop appropriate strategies for addressing inequalities and making the national development goals for achieving SDGs more inclusive.


Amitabh Behar, Executive Director of National Foundation of India, member of Global Fund of Community Foundations (GFCF) Board and Co-Chair of Global Call to Action against Poverty was the inaugural speaker of the event. Other notable speakers of the consultation were- Dr. Ranjana Kumari (Women Power Connect), Dr. Kulwant Singh (Former Asia Advisor- Urban Basic Services-UN Habitat),  Mamata Das (Water Aid), Saibol Baroi (Care India), Tanveer Kazi (Action Aid), Ashok Bharti (NACDAOR), K.C Sahu (IGSSS), Shivani Chaudhury (Housing and Land Rights Network), Mukti Tirkey (Editor-Adivasi Duniya), Gharshyam (Renowned Adivasi Rights Leader-Jharkhand) and Soumya Dutta (Beyond Copenhagen Collective).
