Jhabua: IGSSS conducted a health awareness and free check-up Camp for children in Navin Navapada and Gundipada villages of Jhabua. The prime objective of the health camp was to create awareness among parents regarding child-care practices and preventive measures for malnutrition.
A total of 191 children were treated in the camp. The health camp helped facilitate early detection of deficiencies and general health issues faced by children.
Children detected with severe cases of Jaundice and Malaria were referred to the district hospital for further clinical investigation and treatment. The Asha and Anganwadi workers contributed admirably in smooth facilitation of the check-ups.
The women voiced that they were happy that their children got the opportunity for a full health check-up along with the counselling by the pediatrician and that such camps be organized more often.
