Gayatri has 10 years of experience as researcher and development practitioner at the interface of climate change, sustainable livelihood and Natural Resource Management with NGOs, consultancy and technical support organization. She has experience of programme planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, training and research and networking.
She has worked with State Forest Departments during her engagement with Regional Centre (Delhi) of National Afforestation and Eco-Development Board (MoEFCC) at AFC India Ltd. She has extensively worked in Cold Deserts of Himalaya on Natural Resource Management with the communities.
She holds a PhD in Botany from Kumaun University, Nainital. During PhD, she worked as a Researcher in G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development on projects related to Biodiversity Conservation.
Currently, she has been placed as Manager- Climate Change and responsible for providing strategic directions to design and develop the programmes on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.
