The flood situations in Assam remain grim with major rivers like Brahmaputra flowing above the danger level. Kokrajhar and Bongaigaon are amongst the worst affected district. Around 70% of the agricultural lands are destroyed and native houses have become submerged under flood waters. People are rendered homeless and are taking shelter along the high land and roadside without having sufficient food items and protection.
